EZEKIEL MUTUA REACTS TO MUKHISA KITUYI’S ALLEGED NUDE VIDEO

By  |

Kenya Films Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has broken his silence after a nude video of presidential hopeful Mukhisa Kituyi was leaked on social media.

Through his Twitter page, the KFCB boss stated that the move to leak the video is a breach of the films and stage plays act. “Making videos of others while naked, with or without their approval, is a breach of the Films and Stage Plays Act Cap 222. “No film or class of film for public exhibition shall be made without a filming license from the Board.” Now you know,” wrote Mutua.

Adding, “Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi is a globally respected intellectual powerhouse and one of Kenya’s best leadership  brands. He’s an elder, a husband and a father. To drag his private moments real or perceived, into the public is evidence of how low we have sank as society. Sad!”

Mutua’s sentiments came barely a day after a nude video believed to be that of the former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General surfaced online.

In an interesting turn of events, the nude surfaced days after Mukhisa was accused of assaulting a woman in Mombasa. The claim was filed by a woman identified in police records as Diana Opemi Lutta who alleges to have been assaulted on May 22 by the politician in a hotel.

Below are reactions related to the drama surrounding the 2022 presidential candidate.

@zethkispigei: Many people have been subjected to Mukhisa Kituyi treat, we should not condemn those whose nudes have been leaked, let’s channel our wrath to blackmailers/those who leak the nudes, whether male or female.

@AokoOtieno_: Woman accuses Mukhisa Kituyi of allegedly assaulting her after she refused to have sex. She however says he’s her boyfriend. Then she withdraws her case. Yes, there’s an OB no. and police quotes but I’m not believing this until there’s evidence. Too many fake accusations.

@ChelaaNaomi: We need to stop shaming people whose nudes and videos are leaked and shame those who leak those videos. Let’s not also pretend to be shocked that people are having sex -outside the confines of marriage.

@RobertAlai: Mukhisa Kituyi must not fall for the blackmail. He should walk out with his head held high because he deserves his privacy and dignity. Nobody has a right to video tape a private moment. The magic stick doesn’t deserve such exposure. I stand with Dr Kituyi on this.
