‘MY GIRLFRIEND DUMPED ME WHEN I WAS BROKE, SHE CAME BACK AND I PAID HER SH100,000’ SAYS FLAQO

Comedian Flaqo has disclosed the first amount of money he bagged from an endorsement deal. Speaking in a TV interview, the funny man said he received a Sh120,000 cheque from a telecommunications company to advertise their product.

Flaqo added that after landing his first deal, everything fell in place and more companies approached him for adverts and endorsements. “I was going crazy, I couldn’t believe I just got Sh120,000 and I didn’t know what do with that money because at the time I lived in a small room and I didn’t even know where to start. When I landed my first job things started to fall in place. I don’t even remember the turning point, things just started running smoothly and that was a big breakthrough,” he said.

He also opened up about his ex-girlfriend who left him because he had no money at the time. Flaqo said he left school and when he got home to pick his belongings from their shared house, he learnt that his girlfriend was in a relationship with another man.

Irked by her move, Flaqo retreated and moved on with his life only for the lady in question to show up when he had made money from his craft. “Probably she was fed up with the fact that I didn’t have money and I was probably becoming dependent on her.

We were dating while I was in campus and when I went to pick my things I got a different treatment and I realised she had another boyfriend. After that I went home and really worked hard and I got to a point where I was comfortable and out of nowhere she looked for me saying that she contributed to me becoming a celebrity but I told her if you feel I owe her money and I sent her Sh100,000,” said Flaqo

The comedian also said that he spends little time on social media, noting that he does so for his peace of mind. “I spend little time on social media just for my peace of mind because social media is crazy, it even affects your creativity so what I normally do is post on social media and uninstall the app,” he said.
