Embakasi East MP Babu Owino’s wife, Fridah Muthoni gushed over him saying she got married to the Babu because he is a kind man and full of immense goodness. Speaking in a video shared by the lawmaker, Muthoni said,  “You’re a good man, I think that is what I would say sums it all. You have a heart of Gold and I was able to see that somehow, I don’t know if it was through the holy spirit but from the first day I met you I could tell that you are a good person. You were soft for me and I always saw your goodness. There’s also the fact that I understood your background,” said Muthoni

The mother of two defended Babu on his controversial moves, maintaining that his goodness has impacted people’s lives. “What people see you do or say I know it is not a true reflection of who you are, you are an endlessly good person and that is what I love most about you and some people see that every single day and you impact so many people’s lives and you do so much that I don’t even know about,” she added.

Muthoni also disclosed she is about to launch her fashion line, “What I’ve been doing in my business is importing from the US and the UK, the challenge with importing is that a shipment can really delay, then with covid-19 shipping was expensive and so I decided to start making items locally, I’m launching a made in Kenya line and I feel Kenyans are so resourceful and by that I have been able to provide employment and come up with original designs for my clients,” she said.

On how she balances being the First Lady of Embakasi East, a wife and a businesswoman, Muthoni said, “For Embakasi East and with your platform I’m able to access women who have talents and skills but they don’t have a way of bring them out and we are able to do that with table banking and that platforms helps me to bring them together. On the flip side, I’m able to do what I like to do, what I’m skilled at so all of these things are part of me, it’s by the grace of God honestly.”
