‘I WAS A HAWKER’ ZORA ACTOR ROBERT AGENGO SAYS HE WAS AUCTIONED OVER RENT ARREARS

Actor Robert Agengo, famed for his role Fella on drama series, Zora has talked about the jobs he did in the past before his big break. Speaking at an interview with Buzz central,  the actor said he once worked as a hawker in a bid to make ends meet and provide for his loved ones.

I’ve been a hawker, taxi driver, and house agent. I was an extra in a show, then I asked the producer for a job and he gave a job to sell CD’s of veteran singers like Daudi Kabaka but the problem was, no one was into that music plus I was young with a different clientele. One day I decided that was not for me and I stopped selling the cd’s.

I got the job as a house agent after visiting my ex’s cousin. She had a boyfriend who was an agent and they had a beautiful house. I didn’t like it but I did it for my girlfriend at the same time I was an Uber driver  but when we broke up, I hated the job and slept in the house for two weeks so the car had to be taken.”

Agengo also said that he was once auctioned due to unpaid rent in 2020 during the covid pandemic that shattered the acting industry. “At the time I had not paid rent for a year and a half and I had to hide my car which was wrecked after a road accident, the landlord had started looking for it. In the end, they auctioned all my household items and the car was taken from where I had hidden it. I had to start life again,” he said.
