TATIANA KARANJA EXPECTING BABY NUMBER 3

By  |

YouTuber Tatiana Karanja alias Mama Olive has announced that she is expecting her third baby. Through her Instagram page, the YouTuber shared a photo alongside her two daughters – Olive and Marley and showed off her growing baby bumpMama Olive is 18 weeks pregnant.

In a separate post, she disclosed that she is totally okay with body changes that occur as a result of a pregnancy, “Pregnancy body image real talk – I’m pregnant and I get that whole thing of “love your body, it’s housed and birthed a whole human being and it’s done amazing things”, yes that’s true but it’s also okay to not be okay with all the changes. Yes, I respect and appreciate what my body is doing and has done, but am I truly in love with all the changes? No,” Mama Olive wrote.

Adding,” Let’s be very honest, dealing with body image on any day can be really difficult. Dealing with it during pregnancy is no different! Even though gaining weight during pregnancy is normal and in fact very healthy for the baby and mama (the right amount), and logically I know that what’s important in this journey is that I nourish myself and baby properly & stay healthy, which is what I’m doing, I still can’t help but have some negative thoughts to the way my body is changing and I’m just only about half way, I know third trimester is when weight gain is most prominent.”

She also noted that she worked for close to three years in order to become fit, and going through changes at the moment makes it feel as though it’s erasing the energy she put in to be fit. “The thing is, I worked really hard for 2.5 years to become fit and healthy, mentally and physically and sometimes it’s hard to go through changes that somehow feel as though it’s erasing that work. I know that it isn’t, but it feels that way and sometimes those negative thoughts creep in. and I think this happens for many of us going through it,” she stated.

The expectant mother of two went ahead and advised mothers to embrace the changes, “I’m just here to let y’all, know that you’re not alone if you are feeling this way, it’s okay to not be okay, just remember, our bodies are going through immense changes, we get a lot of cravings and want to eat things that are just unexplainable, we are hungry, we want sugar, we want carbs in copious amounts.

Our bodies are also exhausted and we aren’t able to move as much as we’d like, especially toward the third trimester. Let’s give ourselves a break, let’s not put too much stress and pressure on ourselves, of course easier said than done, I know, I’ve been there 3 times now. Also, just know that this period will be over and we are capable of achieving anything we set our minds to, we can always find our way back or evolve into the next version of our badass selves I think this may only make sense to those going through it, I hope it does love and light,” she concluded.
