‘ELI AND LITIEMA REACHED OUT TO ME’ JALANG’O NARRATES HOW WORKERS STOLE HIS MILLIONS

By  |

Radio personality and Langata MP aspirant Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has narrated how his workers Eli Omundu and Morrison Litiema stole his money.

Speaking in an interview with Mungai Eve, Jalang’o said the money was in his wife’s car, “When you go for campaigns, you go with a branded car. But there are times when you want to meet a specific group and you don’t want to be disturbed so you use a different car. On that day, I used my wife’s car. After campaigning, I met a friend of mine, who has supported me in this campaign. There’s a project that we were working on and he gave me some money.”

When he reached home, he left the money in the car and went to bed, “I reached home late at night, locked the car and went to bed. My daughter’s art was in the car. On Saturday morning, my wife came and took the keys to remove the art and Eli and Litiema started washing the cars. It never occurred to me that they could do this. These are people who I have always treated as family. Whether it’s a watchman or a gardener, everybody to me is equal because I’ve been there and I know what these people are going through and it is so important to treat people around you equally.

The father of three says the two stole the money and disappeared from his compound shortly after, “I went on doing things, all this time, it had not occurred to me that these guys were not in the compound. I went to the car, because I wanted to use the money. That’s when I realised they were not there. I asked my wife if she had taken the money, she said no. There are times they have seen money in the car and never took it.”

Jalang’o revealed the two have reached out to him, “DCI have their ways of tracking them, we are told they are on their way to BungomaThey have actually reached out,  the case is with the police now, that’s why I don’t want to talk about it too much. It’s the biggest betrayal I’ve ever had in my life. I hope it doesn’t change how I see people. I don’t know what happened to them.

These are people who I built, they started getting endorsements from companies. There’s even an insurance company that wanted them to advertise. Why they did this I don’t really understand. I just need to sit down with them and ask them what really happened. I’ll forgive them but I don’t think I can ever have them at work anymore.”

The radio personality did not say how much his workers stole from him, “Let people continue speculating, I don’t want to put myself in risk.”
