WINNIE ODINGA OPENS UP ABOUT HER INSECURITIES

By  |

East African Community (EAC) Member of Parliament Winnie Odinga, has opened up about her insecurities growing up.

Speaking during the first anniversary of Phoina Tosha’s make-up brand, Winnie said she has always struggled with confidence. All my life I have had confidence issues, I wasn’t as slim or pretty as my sister. True, my sister is beautiful but I am funny. I have always been overweight and I thank God for the Kardashians because they brought the big ass in fashion and I got the big Luo ass. I talk funny but everybody in the world has an accent even here in Kenya.”

She also addressed misconceptions people have about her, “I’m being told I’m too old to be single and that I should have a baby. That I should stop hanging around with my father and I only got the job because of him forgetting I have three degrees. I’m the aunty to five wonderful kids and God help me if you say I am to their mother, I was there in all their births.”

Winnie also talked about the people she will never follow on social media, “There are two groups of people I don’t follow on Instagram, the guys who work out excessively and people who are extremely rich. When I look at them I don’t feel my best because I am not working out like I should and I have not reached billionaire status. They make me feel weak like I am not doing my best.”
