SPORTS PRESENTER SEAN CARDOVILLIS TO BE CREMATED

Capital FM Sports presenter Sean Cardovillis to be cremated on September 14, 2023, at a private family ceremony. According to his family, a memorial service will be held on September 22, 2023, at the Consolata Shrine Catholic Church in Westlands, Nairobi, from 10am.

The sports commentator passed away on September 9, 2023. “We are deeply saddened to announce that the world of sports has lost one of its most iconic voices Sean Cardovillis. The renowned sports commentator who worked here at Capital FM passed away this morning at his house in Westlands, and his family has been informed.

Sean’s powerful commentary and infectious enthusiasm for sports made him a household name locally and internationally. At Capital FM, we pay tribute to the man who brought sports to life for millions of our listeners around the world. We pass our condolences to the family, colleagues, friends and our listeners following this devastating report.” The station wrote on social media.

According to police, Cardovillis body was found outside his residence along Rhapta Road in Westlands by a cleaner who stumbled upon his body on the staircase leading to his apartment on the fourth floor. The family has yet to disclose his cause of death.
