DR KING’ORI BIDS NTV GOODBYE AS THE WICKED EDITION WRAPS UP

Dr. Kingori, the producer and presenter of The Wicked Edition, shared that last Friday’s episode signifies the conclusion of an extraordinary 7-year run on NTV, during which more than 300 unforgettable episodes were created.

In a statement online, the comedian said, “It has been seven transformative years and over 300 unforgettable episodes on TV and over 70 million views on YouTube making The Wicked Edition the longest running satire show on Kenyan television. 

Since its inception, the wicked edition has grown to be the  show par excellence in Kenya. This is thanks to unwavering support from you, our beloved viewer. Your patronage propelled us to great heights, earning us the recognition of the prestigious Kalasha Awards and nomination for the best performance in TV comedy and the Best TV comedy in Kenya for the upcoming 2024 edition.”

He thanked NTV for the opportunity, “We extend our heartfelt gratitude towards NTV Kenya for being our nurturing home, a platform where creativity was met with opportunity to every member of the creative team, crew and every guest on each episode. Your passion and talent have been the cornerstone of our success. The dedication shown through each episode of the weekend edition that we have shared with the world.” 

Kingori also stated the show will now go online, “The Weekend Edition will continue to celebrate our rich Kenyan culture and bring people together through laughter in every household.
