Former Nairobi Senatorial candidate and prominent Kenyan politician Millicent Omanga has issued a public apology to Arsenal fans worldwide.

In a statement, Omanga acknowledged past remarks that may have riled the Gunners’ faithful, asking for their forgiveness as she joined in lauding the team’s long-awaited triumph. “Weuh! Mafans wa Arsenali mnisamehe. It has always been Arsenal against the world; doubted, criticised, written off… but you still rose above it all. Congratulations Arsenali  you truly deserve to be Premier League champions. The resilience, the passion, the belief… this moment was earned. North London is red.”

Her message captures the rollercoaster journey of Mikel Arteta’s side, who clinched the title after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth, handing Arsenal the crown with a game to spare. The championship ends a dramatic season marked by intense rivalry, injuries, and late-season pressure and snaps a two-decade drought since the club’s last Premier League victory in 2004.

For three consecutive years, Arsenal finished as runners-up, but this season they overcame the odds to finally get over the line. “This moment was earned,” she added. The title win also carries symbolic significance for Arsenal supporters globally, including in Kenya, where the club boasts a massive and passionate following.
