SKATER KEVIN KIARIE CLEARS DEBT AFTER RECEIVING SH353,000 DONATION FROM KENYANS
Kenyan roller skater Kevin Kiarie has announced that well-wishers have donated a total of KSh 353,000 over the past three weeks, enabling him to clear debt, travel to Egypt, and bring home the African title.
In an emotional statement, Kiarie thanked Kenyans for their generosity, noting that the contributions have transformed his situation both financially and professionally.
“Never give up! Within the past three weeks, Kenyans have donated a total of KSh 353,000. Through your contributions, I managed to travel to Egypt and win the African title. I have achieved significant debt relief and other great extras because of you. Never tire in supporting humanity. Be blessed,” he said.
The fundraising came barely a month after Kiarie defied the odds to win gold and silver at the International Skating Challenge in Benin. He has now conquered the continent, claiming double gold at the African Skating Championship in Cairo, Egypt.
Competing against elite skaters from across Africa, Kiarie delivered a stunning performance to secure the top spot on the podium, further cementing his reputation as the continent’s finest. “African Champion: Double Gold for Kenya in Freestyle Battle Championship and Classic Slalom Skating at the African Skating Championships 2026,” he stated.
Kiarie revealed that he hopes to travel to China within two weeks for an international training camp. The camp will prepare him for the World Skate Games in Asunción, Paraguay. “Currently getting ready because I am certain that the best is ahead of us,” he added.
