Musician King Kaka has made a shocking confession, revealing that before rising to fame, he used to design fake education certificates, fake payslips, and other fraudulent documents as a young graphic designer in Nairobi.

The rapper opened up about his past hustle, explaining that he entered the illegal trade without shame because he needed to survive and make money. “I 23 years old, a graphic designer in Nairobi. A guy asked me what I wanted to make and I said business cards and he takes me to River Road. First thing I see is a someone designing fake certificate.

He adds, ”I’m a good graphic designer, I designed all my album covers even for Femi One. Poster and covers for Arrow Boy and Timmy I did them. I’m introduced to making fake certificates, pay slips anything fake that can be designed that is given from Mitihani House. One reason why I was doing it is that there was no shame in making money.”

According to the rapper, the fraudulent documents enabled some of his clients to gain admission to universities. “When I became famous guys were telling me the certificates I made for them made them join universities. I have made a lot of people join universities.” King Kaka stated.

In an apology to education authorities, King Kaka shared his regret for his past actions saying he has since left that life behind. “Officially I’m saying sorry to the ministry of education. I was young, right now I don’t do that job, I went legit. My money is clean.”
