Actor Jabari Banks, best known for his leading role in Peacock’s critically acclaimed series Bel-Air, has set social media abuzz after declaring his attraction to East African women during a recent podcast appearance.

The actor made the revelation while speaking on The Crew Has It, a podcast where the conversation touched on his personal life, dating experiences, and career journey.

I’m from Maryland. PG County, Pretty Girl County. And it’s so close to D.C. the big East African community. I love East African women,” Banks said. “Actually, if I had to build a type, I’d go for the East African.”

The interview took a candid turn when Banks was asked about his worst date. He recalled an encounter that began well but took an unexpected twist.

“It was a really good date, right? But then I met another girl on the date, and she was just vicious. She didn’t care. Shawty went to the bathroom, came to me like, ‘Yo, take my number down.’ I sent that girl home, and then, couple days later, me and that girl met… it was great. That was probably the wildest s*** I’ve ever seen,” he shared.

When pressed further on his physical preferences, the actor offered a detailed description of what he finds attractive. “My type of woman… hourglass, but some petite. I like petite because when they become a mother, they get a little thick. That’s what I like,” Banks explained. “Something that’s not too thick when you first meet them. They take care of themselves. Skinny but still got something in the back. That type of vibe.
