Samsung Electronics has announced Galaxy A27 5G, the newest addition to its popular A-series lineup. 

Designed to elevate the everyday mobile experience, the device brings together a vivid display, dependable performance, and a suite of AI-powered features that make life a little easier. Building on the success of the Galaxy A26 5G, the A27 5G introduces thoughtful upgrades that enhance usability and accessibility for a wider range of users.

A Display That Puts Content First

The Galaxy A27 5G is equipped with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen featuring a silky 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and more immersive viewing. Its refined Infinity-O display reduces the camera cutout to a minimal punch-hole design, while a sleeker, more balanced bezel maximises screen real estate. At just 7.8mm thin, the device is crafted to sit comfortably in the hand, making it ideal for all-day use.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon® 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform delivers snappy responsiveness, whether users are jumping between apps or juggling multiple tasks. Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to select and search for several items such as clothing and accessories within a single image. The Object Eraser tool has been fine-tuned for greater precision, making it easier to remove unwanted elements from photos with cleaner, more natural results. Voice Recording now includes translation capabilities alongside transcription, supporting 22 languages for more efficient meeting note-taking.

The device also offers flexibility in choosing AI assistants, with support for Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Bixby. Deeper integration across native Samsung apps including Gallery delivers quicker, more intuitive interactions throughout the user experience.

Pricing and Availability

The Galaxy A27 5G arrives in Kenya starting July 3 and will be available at Samsung Experience Stores, Samsung Shop-in-Shops, and authorised retailers nationwide. Customers can choose from four colour options: Black, Blue, Light Green and Light Pink. Recommended retail prices are as follows: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage: KES 41,300 and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: KES 52,500. 

Samsung reinforces its dedication to longevity with up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, plus six years of security updates from the initial launch date. Security is backed by Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, offering hardware-level protection for sensitive data.
