‘Cursed Money’ Streamer Vindee Claims Sh400,000 TikTok Earnings Brought Him Zero Progress

Popular Kenyan content creator Vindee has sparked a debate about the source of digital wealth, claiming that the Sh400,000 he earned on TikTok failed to improve his life, describing the money as “from the devil.“

Speaking in a viral video, Vindee said that while the Sh400,000 he accumulated on TikTok represented a significant sum, it did not translate into personal or professional growth. “I used to make money on TikTok, I had like Sh400,000 on my account but my life was not progressing. That money is like from the devil, it used to help others but not me,” Vindee stated. He added that he now views TikTok as a platform for fun rather than a source of income, choosing to give away any gifts he receives to help others.

The streamer praised YouTube as a platform that rewards genuine effort and leads to success. “The money from YouTube is from your own hard work and you grow,” he explained.

His claims come shortly after he revealed a YouTube payout. Vindee five months ago, he was still creating street prank content, but he has since moved to Germany and is now earning more than KSh1 million through his streaming career. “Five months ago I was doing street pranks. Today I’m earning over KSh1 million and streaming from Germany. Keep pushing until it finally works,” Vindee said.
