The invitation, which first appeared on blogger Edgar Obare’s channel, bears the event title “Charlene’s Koito ak Chaik” a phrase in Kalenjin that signifies an engagement and farewell ceremony. The date printed on the card reads 8.8.26, indicating that the ceremony is set to take place this very weekend.

According to unconfirmed reports circulating online, the celebrations are expected to be hosted at the Ruto family farm in Kilgoris, where dowry negotiations are rumoured to be underway. The ceremony appears to follow traditional Kalenjin customs, where a bride’s send-off from her parental home holds cultural significance.

While details regarding the groom’s identity remain undisclosed, the leaked invitation has already prompted an outpouring of congratulatory messages directed toward the President’s daughter.
