‘I LOVE SHIKO AS A FRIEND’ RAMZZY EXPLAINS WHY HE IS NOT READY TO DATE

By  |

Digital creator Rama Oluoch popularly known as Ramzzy has confirmed he is not ready to get into a new relationship after breaking up with his ex-girlfriend Shiko Nguru.

Speaking in a Q&A session on Instagram,  Ramzzy said, “To be honest, I’m not ready to be asked my favourite color, food, movie or how many siblings I have. Dating is too templatey for me. In that sense the word is no. I’m just interested in spending time with people who are focused on their grind and not looking for someone so they can feel like they are complete.”

He said he has no plans of getting married until he meets the right person, “You don’t plan such things until you meet someone worth the commitment. People out here are in love with the idea of marriage but don’t want to do the work it takes  to be happy in it.”

He confessed he loves his ex-girlfriend as a friend, stating the reason why they broke up is because they grew apart, “I love her as a friend-it’s a bare minimum requirement for raising kids together because a lot of maturity is needed for their sake. It was a long discussion to part ways respectfully. I have never spoken about it on my platform because we have kids to protect and they don’t need our business all over the place. Anything you know about it to this point has been rumours or people filling stories for themselves because of our silence. We just grew apart.”

Ramzzy also discussed his co-parent arrangement with Shiko, “It’s more of a circumstantial than a preferential place to be in. For me it’s ok. I have to constantly ask if the kids are ok. I give them extra hugs and kisses so they can remember my absence is not a reduction of love” he said. Adding that the kids were doing well, “I’d like to think they’re okay. Recently a friend told me she doesn’t remember the weekdays when her folks were away working, just the weekend when they did fun stuff and that shit motivated me to grind harder because, same. They just need to feel and know they are loved.”

Ramzzy explained that he gives equal attention to all his kids even to his step daughter Ella, “I’ve known and raised her since she was 3 years old, my son’s know her as a big sis. Sometimes I find this question offensive because why shouldn’t I? I’m I supposed to say yes or no so I can confirm a bias?

He also added his work didn’t interfere with him being a family man, “I wouldn’t say it interfered with my craft but I took my time off to give my kids all the love and attention they needed as newbie earthlings. They just needed five of the rest of the years I had to be creative. I took that time to reflect on what I wanted out of life as well. Balance is important,” he said
