‘WE WILL NOT APPLAUD MEDIOCRITY’ ERIC OMONDI CLAPS BACK AT NADIA MUKAMI

By  |

Comedian Eric Omondi clapped back at afro pop artist Nadia Mukami after she said he failed to recognise Kenyans showing up for Kenyan musicians at Oktoberfest that took place over the weekend.

According to Nadia, Omondi was waiting for the event to fail so that he would react, “@ericomondi hii event hautapost unangoja kuskia events zimeflop ndio utukane! Pole. Thank you soon, Kenyans for showing us your support! It means the world to us and we do not take your support for granted. We promise to keep working on our craft to be better and fly the Kenyan flag Higher!” Adding that the industry’s success is a joint effort between the corporates and the artists.

Omondi reacted to her sentiment saying he wants to see them take over other countries, “Let’s get something clear guys, I want to see Kenyan artists out there taking over Africa and the world like the way Nigeria, South Africa and TZ have taken over our country and airwaves. @nadiamukami this is good but not good enough, nataka uperfomie wa Nigeria in Enugu state vile Ruger aliperforn kwenyu Meru. I am not impressed at all. I cannot be moved by a Kenyan performing for a Kenyan in an event where people paid 500 bob na WA Nigeria wanalipisha 8k the same venue na inajaa. Tupatane parliament Tuesday.”

He also added, “It took over 30 Kenyan Artists and Sh500 bob gate charge to fill up a Kenyan gig and you want me to clap. You must be high on something my friends. It only takes a single Nigerian to fill up a Concert with gate Charges up to Sh15,000 na bado wanajazaa. Alafu why is Tiwa Savage Launching a lipstick in Kenya and Femi performing for her? Why can’t it ever be the other way round? Femi aende Lagos launched Lipstick alafu Tiwa performs for her. think big! Wake up! We will not Applaud Mediocrity!”
