Mike Sonko’s Facebook page has been suspended over LGBTQ+ posts. The former Nairobi governor complained on his Twitter account, “Hawa masonga wa LGBTQ wako na nguvu. Wamecomplain to FB mpaka my page of 2,500,000 followers ikakuwa disabled till I apologise to them then appeal to FB.”

Sonko vowed that he will not apologise to the community, “I can’t and will not apologise to them. Hapa Twitter muko 2,300,000 followers and is still growing like a bushfire. Aluta continua.”

On march 1, Sonko spoke against the supreme court’s ruling allowing registration of LGBTQ+ associations, “End times. With the current LGBTQ happenings in Kenya one of the most God fearing countries in Africa and the introduction of strippers, in some churches in Africa. It’s now real, End times are here. Yes, Jesus is coming soon. Repent and repent my brothers and sisters.”
