Tanzanian rapper and politician Joseph Haule, popularly known as Professor Jay, has made a social media comeback after battling a long illness.

The rapper took to his Instagram page to thank his fans, friends, and family for their support. “First of all I thank the living God for healing and giving me another chance to live. My condition was unspeakably bad, Thank you very much God. I will glorify and praise you all the days of my life.

Secondly, I am extremely grateful to Hon. President of the Republic of Tanzania. Our Mother Dr. Samia Hassan Suluhu and his Government for paying for all my treatment in Muhimbili and abroad. Thank you very much mother and your whole government because your party and government leaders were alternating every day to see me and comfort me.”

Jay was hospitalised for a year and admitted to the intensive care unit for over three months, “Thirdly, I am very grateful to the Chairman of my Chadema party commander @freemanmbowe, the members and all the senior leaders of the party for their efforts to ensure that I get the best treatment in collaboration with the government.

I am also very grateful to all the doctors and nurses in Muhambili and everywhere I went through for giving me the highest level of medical treatmentfor more than a year I slept there in Muhimbili, especially the 127 dangerous days I was admitted to the ICU, you gave your best to ensure that you save my life, thank you so much.

Adding, “Lastly and with great importance, I thank all the Tanzanians who have dedicated themselves to the prayers and donations of your money to ensure that I am treated and to tell the truth, it helped me a lot to pay the previous bills before the government decided to intervene and carry this burden. Thank you very much and I will not forget you.

Many thanks to all the pastors, sheikhs and priests of my Catholic church, I have nothing to pay them more than to pray that God bless you very much. I would be selfish if I did not thank my family, my wife @Mke_wa_profjize, my brothers, my sisters, my younger siblings and all of Mzee Haule’s family for their great cooperation and love. At the moment I am strong and I am doing very well.”
