Activist Morara Kebaso has confirmed that he has ditched the INJECT Party to join Jubilee, a move he says is practical realities of Kenyan politics.

The outspoken political figure announced that he will now seek the Borabu parliamentary seat on the Jubilee ticket. Speaking in an interview , Kebaso described the transition as a strategic. He disclosed that the INJECT Party would remain “in the cupboard” for the time being, as he focuses on collaborative efforts with Jubilee leader Dr. Fred Matiang’i.

We have to go with the realities of the politics of the day. In Borabu and Nyamira counties you cannot name any other party, people will not listen. And you don’t want to make people emotional because they won’t listen and give you the opportunity to serve and you have good ideas,” Kebaso said.

When asked if people will think he is a traitor he said, “Even Matiangi is working with people he fought with. Leaders fight and then they agree.”
