COLONEL MUSTAFA MEETS YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS CS ABABU NAMWAMBA

Weeks after a video of him working at a construction site went viral, Colonel Mustafa finally met Youth Affairs, Arts and Sports CS Ababu Namwamba. 

Through a statement, the ministry assured Mustafa of support during this difficult period, “Life is defined by ups and downs. It is never our troubles that define us, but rather how we overcome these obstacles. CS @AbabuNamwamba, together with the PS @IsmailMaalim19, met with legendary Kenyan artist Colonel Mustafa on the CS’s invitation, upon learning of his plight.

The legendary genge artist slipped into a financial crisis owing to his mother’s cancer diagnoses, which drained his finances to a point that he took menial jobs to sustain her chemo treatment. The CS assured him of the Ministry’s intervention to get him back on track.

Ababu also said, “Very special time spent with legendary Kenyan artist Colonel Mustafa who I invited to my office. The Legend must rise again, like the Phoenix. #TalantaHela”
