MERISHAW SCHOOL SETS THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON BULLYING ALLEGATIONS

An old video resurfacing on social media has placed Merishaw School in Isinya, Kajiado County, under the public spotlight but the institution is speaking out to separate fact from fiction.

The undated footage, which shows older students physically assaulting a younger learner, has sparked outrage and concern among netizens since it began circulating across various platforms. However, the school has moved to address the situation, clarifying that the incident is neither recent nor representative of the current state of the institution.

In an official statement issued to the public, the school acknowledged the video stating, “It has come to our attention that an old video is circulating on social media claiming incidents at our school. We want to make it absolutely clear that the video is old and does not reflect the current environment at our school,” the statement read.

According to the administration, the students involved in the incident were not allowed to get away with their actions. They were fully disciplined and subsequently expelled, following the school’s established policies and procedures.

The school has made its position on bullying clear stating it will not be tolerated in any form. “Our school does not tolerate bullying in any form. Every student is safe, respected, and protected while on campus,” the statement continued. “Our school does not tolerate bullying in any form.

Despite the resurfacing of this old video, Merishaw School remains confident in the environment it provides for its learners. “We are proud of our school community, our students, and our staff.
