SHELL CLUB MARKS MOTHER’S DAY BY COVERING MEDICAL BILLS FOR NEW MOTHERS AT PUMWANI MATERNITY HOSPITAL

In honour of Mother’s Day, Shell Club a loyalty initiative operated by Vivo Energy Kenya, the licensed distributor of Shell products and services in the country has fully settled the outstanding medical bills of new mothers at Pumwani Maternity Hospital. 

The effort reflects the 2026 Mother’s Day theme, The Great Unburdening, which highlights the need to lighten mothers’ daily loads and reduce their emotional and social stressors.

Commenting on the initiative, Peter Murungi, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Kenya, said the theme aligns closely with the company’s core value of caring demonstrating empathy, compassion, and respect toward employees, customers, communities, and the environment.

“Motherhood is one of life’s most important journeys, and this Mother’s Day, we wanted to celebrate mothers in a meaningful and impactful way. Through Kameivana Na Shell Club, we are proud to stand with families at Pumwani Maternity Hospital by easing some of the financial burden and sharing in their joy”, said Murungi.
