MCA Tricky Leaves Milele FM After Station Declines Request for Unpaid Study Leave

Media personality Francis Munyao, popularly known as MCA Tricky, has officially announced his departure from Mediamax Network Ltd’s Milele FM, bringing an end to a six-year journey with the station.

The celebrated radio presenter, who served at Milele FM from June 2020 to June 2026, made the announcement describing his exit as the closing of “one of the most important chapters” of his life.

In a statement, MCA Tricky revealed that his departure comes after the station and himself were unable to reach a mutual agreement regarding his request for a short unpaid study leave as he continues pursuing his academic goals.

“This wasn’t an easy decision. Radio has never been just a job to me, it has been a calling. Every show, every fun moment, every conversation, every early morning and evening link was remarkable, and every listener who tuned in became part of my journey. For that, I will always be grateful,” he said.

MCA Tricky extended his sincere appreciation to the management of Mediamax Network Ltd for the opportunity to serve millions of Kenyans through Milele FM. He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of producers, technicians, co-presenters, and colleagues he worked alongside over the years. “Together, we created memories that I will carry with me forever,” he added.

The radio host reserved special thanks for his loyal listeners, whom he credited for welcoming him into their homes, cars, workplaces, and lives. “You laughed with me, encouraged me, corrected me, and stood by me throughout this journey. Your love has been the greatest reward, and I can never thank you enough,” he stated.

He remains optimistic about the future, assuring his fans that this goodbye is not the end of his story. “As one chapter ends, another begins. I am excited about what lies ahead. I remain committed to entertaining, inspiring, creating, and serving you in even greater ways. This goodbye is not the end of my story, it is the beginning of a new chapter,” he said.
