Tyler Mbaya Launches Fundraiser to Revive YouTube Series ‘Budah in Shawt’
Actor and content creator Tyler Mbaya, widely known as Baha from the Kenyan drama Machachari, has launched a public appeal for financial support to bring back his YouTube series, Budah in Shawt.
The actor explained that production on the popular web series has stalled due to a lack of professional recording and editing equipment, and he is now turning to his followers to help him get back behind the camera .
“If you’ve been enjoying my content and you’d love to see Budah in Shawt return on YouTube, I need your support,” Mbaya wrote in his appeal. He directed fans to a link in his bio to contribute, saying that every donation would go directly toward acquiring the tools needed to resume filming .
Mbaya, who rose to fame as a child actor on Machachari, has since established himself as a digital content creator and the founder of Kamau Mbaya Productions. His YouTube series Budah in Shawt was launched as an independent storytelling platform following the end of the long-running TV show. However, he has faced challenges maintaining consistent production, prompting the current fundraiser .
“Your support isn’t just helping me buy gear, it’s helping bring more stories, laughs, and quality content back to the channel,” Mbaya added in his statement.” Thank you for believing in me and being part of this journey. I can’t wait to get back behind the camera and share new episodes with you” .
