VANESSA MDEE AND ROTIMI ENGAGED (VIDEO)

Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and her boyfriend Rotimi are engaged. According to videos circulating online, the American actor got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage!

In a lengthy post, Vanessa confirmed her engagement, “The answer is YES! 💍 A year and a half ago the world laughed at me when I said I knew you were my husband only days after spending time with you. I didn’t blame them, after all, it’s an uncommon and inexplicable feeling when you meet your soulmate. (Also, they’d met the Vee who had no plans to be married).

On my 30th birthday, my plans for the years to come were so different from where we are now, but God laughs when we are making plans. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Honestly, my future was feeling bleak and I was losing hope in what I thought was a perfect plan.

November 2019, Vanessa confessed she knew he was going to
be her husband two days after meeting him at Essence Festival
afterparty in July of the same year, “We exchanged numbers and every time I would talk to him, I was at peace.

Our connection was amazing from the start, it took me two days to
know he is the man I will spend my life with, and this is my husband. We have taken time to know each other and build our spirituality. He is such a humble person, loves God and people.

Rotimi is so exposed maybe it is because he has lived in the US, he advises me in a way nobody has ever done. Though I am older than him by a few months he is more mature than me so we balance each other.”

In October this year, the couple showed off their matching tattoos, Rotimi got a set of different tattoos including Vanessa’s first name on his right hand, “I got new tattoos, we have Jesus with his Shepard, stairs leading into heaven with eagle and clouds, I still got the lion. I got a name here that is kinda lit too, her first name Hau.”

Mdee also revealed hers, his name ‘Rotimi’ on her left shoulder.
