Deputy President William Ruto’s daughter June Chepchirchir Ruto is officially off the market after tying the knot with her Nigerian fiancé, Dr Alexander Paul Ezenagu. The couple exchanged vows in an invite-only ceremony held at DP Ruto’s Karen Home on Thursday, May 27.

The ceremony was graced by DP’s political allies and close family members. This came three weeks after the two held a colourful engagement ceremony known as ‘Koito’ in Kalenjin. The ceremony was also held at the DP’s Karen home shortly after dowry negotiations were concluded.

June was engaged to Ezenagu, an Assistant Professor of Taxation and Commercial Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar. He specializes in international tax law, domestic taxes, tax avoidance and commercial aspects of illicit financial flows, trade and investment advisory.

He also teaches Business Associations, Construction and Infrastructure Development Law, Global Economic Law and Governance, Entrepreneurship Law, Global Legal Ethics and Law of Taxation. June serves as Kenya’s Charge D’Affairs in Poland
