BLESSING LUNG’AHO ON SHOOTING NUDE SCENES, PROPOSING TO JACKIE MATUBIA AND HIS BIGGEST FEAR AS A FATHER

Lung’aho revealed he had other plans to propose to Jackie before he settled for the final proposal, “There were a bunch of options and the first one was to take a trip because she loves to travel. But then I was on set filming Sunday to Sunday. I kept pushing it and I realised it was not going to happen. I got Luxury Proposals to arrange it for me and they kept updating me while on set. I just pulled up on my birthday and proposed.”

Blessing disclosed he is eating four times a day to match Matubia’s appetite, “When she told me she was pregnant, at that time we were living together so for me it wasn’t a big deal but later on I realised pregnancy to a man and a woman are two very different things. To a man, it’s an adventure to a woman is the fear of a last adventure. Like would they ever have an adventure like this?

To me this is something new and it is gonna be amazing. She was like I won’t do jobs. My body is gonna change. I’m gonna strain and be in pain. I didn’t know that. But now that I’ve lived through it. I understand her initial reaction, for me nothing changed about me. Apart from eating four times a day to match her eating, everything else is the same.”

On his biggest fear as a father, he said, “Failing the real human, fathers get a bad rep but as you get older, the more you understand your father. You realise that this guy was just doing the best he could. Especially as a man. Society really puts down men who are struggling, a man who’s struggling doesn’t really have a place to go.

So on the one hand, I want to be a good dad. On the other hand, being a good dad is not really appreciated. There’s 5 million celebrations for moms but on Father’s Day you just buy your dad a tie and be like tuko sawa bro. I know it is not going to be easy but it’s a new adventure and I’m looking forward to it.”

Blessing stars in new series Igiza and confirmed he has nude scenes, “This is my best work ever as an actor, it gets naked at some point. I hope my mom won’t watch.”
