Actress and TV host Joyce Maina has introduced her new boyfriend Ndume Kenya. The musician took to his Instagram and penned a sweet birthday message to her, “This angel was born today, outstay woman you are, always pushing Mr T the limits, always believing in my path, May God bless you for becoming a pillar in my life, Asante sana msupuu. You are a woman of character. My best friend. I’ll always be by your side, as you’re mine. Happy birthday my pretty gangster, more life, more blessings Mi amor.”
Joyce responded to the post saying she’s glad to be spending her birthday with him, “Thank you so much my love. I am so grateful I get to celebrate today with you by my side.”
Joyce and her ex-boyfriend Tony Kwalanda parted ways in March of 2021 after dating for nearly six months. During a question and answer session on her Instagram page, a fan wanted to know if she was single or in a relationship. “Are you single”, Joyce quickly responded with a bold ‘Yes’. In December 2021, Kwalanda opened up about their break up saying his upbringing and being a loner hugely contributed to their split. “I also blame my upbringing, I sometimes give up very fast. I was so serious about this relationship but something triggered me and I said let me resort to my single way,” he said.
The journalist also said he regrets not pursuing Joyce following their break up. “I blame myself for not really pursuing Joyce. Sometimes I sit down and ask myself why we never sat down and addressed those small issues and work on them and get back to the relationship,” Kwalanda stated.
Despite their split, Kwalanda spoke highly of Joyce stating that they are still friends and help each other. “The journey is still beautiful, she encourages me, ‘Tony you do your stuff’ because I had shared my ambitions and visions for the future. When I am coming to work, we meet with Joyce more often and we talk and share stuff, in fact, she encouraged me the other day and told me ‘Tony, go for it, we are coming to help you campaign’ and I was like ‘oh my God, I was about to shed a tear,” he said.
