‘HE HELPED KICKSTART MY CAREER’ KAZ MOURNS COOLIO

Musician Karen Lucas popularly known as Kaz is mourning the death of American Rapper Coolio. According to the former Tusker Project fame contestant, Coolio helped her to start her music career, “My first time on stage was with Coolio. I was 14years old. He helped kickstart my career and am saddened by the news. RIP.” While also thanking him for his contribution in her life, “Thanks for what you did for me.”

At just 14, Kaz amazed thousands during her first public appearance at the Nairobi Carnivore grounds, alongside Grammy award -winning rapper Coolio, where she took the title for best overall rapper at a rap competition held during his concert in Kenya.

The award winning American Rapper died at 59, cause of death remains unknown. According to sources, paramedics were called to the house around 4 p.m. after Coolio collapsed inside the bathroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene and is suspected to have had a cardiac arrest. Many people who knew him are saddened by his death while remembering him through his music, “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly,” said his manager Sheila Finegan.
