JOHN ALLAN NAMU ON BEING ATTACKED BY BEDBUGS
As the curtain fell on the production of a new season of The Last Door TV series, the producer John Allan Namu reflected on the journey and extended his appreciation to the individuals who made it possible.
“As we wind up this season of #TheLastDoor I would like to thank some people for their support. To every one of those who chose to speak to us, bearing their grief with dignity and abiding in hope for justice for their loved ones, thank you. To everyone who drove us to and from our assignments,” Namu wrote on X.
The collaborative spirit of the journalism community didn’t go unnoticed, Namu celebrated journalists who volunteered their time, “To all the journalists who volunteered their time, insights and sources, thank you. You guys have restored my faith in the belief that Kenyan journalists can and do collaborate with one another – guys I can’t thank you enough. To the experts who tolerated my silly questions, if there is a season three prepare for more bothering.”
He also thanked his family for their support, “My dear family for tolerating the many many days away from home, thank you guys. Grateful for every moment, good and bad.”
Namu also shared a snapshot of a bizarre moment while waiting for an interview he found himself devoured by bedbugs, “Here’s a picture from one of the weirdest moments. Sat somewhere and got devoured by bedbugs while waiting for an interview. @ElijahKanyi filmed as I tore off my shirt to inspect the damage. Mungu anakuona.”
