Media personality Ken Mijungu has joined his workmates in mourning the death of Standard media journalist Shadrack Mitty.

In an emotional tribute on social media, he wrote, “His dedication was unquestionable, his professionalism unrivaled. A friendly team member whose contacts in the education sector made all the difference in our work. Mitty was a good man, a perfect gentleman.”

NTV’s Lofty Matambo remembered him as a man who loved his work, “It’s hard to believe. I’m writing in shock and deep sorrow at your passing early this morning. We worked together for over five years at KTN/KTN News. Your memories are of your humanity, politeness, humility, and aversion to conflict. You loved your work. Rest in eternal peace, colleague Shadrack Mitty. A good man has rested.”

KTN’s Broadcast and Innovation Editor Kizito Namulanda mourned Shadrack, saying: “I have known Mitty as a very focused, composed, and dedicated reporter with an unrivaled passion for education stories. We will surely miss Mitty!

Mitty passed away while undergoing treatment at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (KUTRRH) due to heart-related complications.
