KRG THE DON TO TAKE A BREAK FROM MUSIC

By  |

Renowned Kenyan musician KRG The Don has announced his decision to take a break from the entertainment business to focus on his other important ventures.

In a recent statement, the musician said he wants to prioritise his business interests and family obligations over his music career. “I’m taking a break from the entertainment business. Niko na kazi mob ya kufanya; I need to concentrate on much more important businesses for now,” said KRG The Don

He plans to return to the music industry once he has achieved significant financial milestones. “Mziki ntarudi nikifikisha $1 billion kwa account. My kids need advanced education as well, so mpaka nipange life mapema. God over everything,” he added.

In addition to his announcement, KRG The Don addressed the ongoing Gen Z protests and the younger generation’s perception of governance. “The Gen Z movement thinks running a government is like running a kiosk. Most of the Gen Z don’t even know where their fathers live and they are here advising someone who has been in the government since he was in his 30s.

He further urged the youths to approach disagreements constructively. “Respecting people who are older than you is very important. Sometimes, even if they are wrong, find a better way to address them, but violence and abusive words won’t solve our problems as a country. That’s blackmailing the government.”

KRG The Don concluded his message by encouraging those who believe they can contribute positively to governance to step forward in the next elections. “If you think you can run the government better, let’s link up in 2027 and don’t forget to vie!”
