‘JUSTICE BE SERVED’ MURUGI MUNYI REACTS TO BODY BY DESIGN SCANDAL 

Influencer Murugi Munyi has shared her opinion on the ongoing controversy surrounding Body By Design, the aesthetic clinic where she underwent liposuction in 2022. 

Amid public scrutiny following the tragic passing of Lucy Wambui, a client at the clinic, Munyi expressed her sympathies while clarifying her involvement with the establishment. “I’ve been wondering about whether to say something about this or not,” Munyi said in a recent statement on her social media channels. “I wouldn’t want to say or do anything that makes this already really difficult, really heavy situation worse, but I’ve decided to just come and give my view on what’s going on.” 

Munyi noted that while she had liposuction at Body By Design two years ago, she was not an ambassador for the clinic at the time. “At the time, I was not working with them or affiliated with them. I paid full price for my lipo, by the way.” 

Since then, she has collaborated with the clinic in various capacities and has been receiving weight loss injections through them, specifically semaglutide treatments. The influencer said that her remarks are based solely on her personal experiences with Body By Design, adding, “I am not a medical professional, neither do I work at Body By Design, and I’m not an expert in liposuction or cosmetic surgery. I only share what I experience.” 

As for the ongoing investigation into the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Lucy’s passing, Munyi hopes that authorities’ inquiries will provide clarity. “I know that Body By Design is cooperating with the authorities to do a proper investigation. My hope and my prayer for the sake of Lucy’s family and friends is that justice will be served in this situation, if indeed there was negligence or any kind of issue,” she concluded.
