ACTIVIST KASMUEL MCOURE OFFICIALLY JOINS ODM
Activist Kasmuel McOure has officially joined the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party. In a statement released on Sunday following a meeting with party chairperson and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Kasmuel announced the party is committed to engage with the youths and student leagues nationwide.
Kasmuel urged young people to join the party, saying that it is the only political entity dedicated to push for a country where everyone can live with dignity. “If you’re eager to join a meaningful political movement that advocates for a fair and democratic Kenya, consider @TheODMparty—the largest pro-people party in East and Central Africa! We are reinvigorating the Youth and Students’ Leagues and inviting passionate young Kenyans to help shape our future. Stand with us! Thank you, party chair @gladyswanga, for your trust and for hosting us this weekend,” Kasmuel stated.
Governor Wanga on her part said the future of ODM belongs to the youth. “ODM is the party of tomorrow, and that future lies in the hands of our young leaders. Our Gen Z and Gen Alpha members are the ones who will drive change, which is why we seek the active participation of talented young individuals like Kasmuel McOure,” she said.
Kasmuel’s decision to join ODM follows a recent meeting with former Prime Minister and founding leader of the party, Raila Odinga. Kasmuel is one of the young activists who became the face of Gen Z protests in Kenya, particularly in response to the controversial Finance Bill 2024, which sparked widespread protests.
