INSIDE POLYCARP IGATHE’S DAUGHTER’S TRADITIONAL WEDDING

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Sunday, January 12, 2024, reunited with his former deputy, Polycarp Igathe, during a traditional wedding ceremony (ruracio) for Igathe’s daughter, Matilda Igathe, and her fiancé, Luios Muthengi Kimanzi. 

The event was held at Runda Estate. Taking to his X page, Sonko shared heartfelt moments from the ceremony, including videos that showcased the vibrant cultural celebrations. He shared his warm wishes for the couple, “Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending a vibrant ruracio ceremony for Luios Muthengi Kimanzi and Matilda Igathe at Runda Estate. Matilda is the daughter of former Deputy Governor of Nairobi, Polycarp Igathe. I extended my best wishes to them for good health and a joyful family life.”

Sonko presented Igathe with a special gift: a bottle of Johnnie Walker King George V in celebration of the major milestone for the Igathe family. Matilda a management student at the University of Dundee is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Management, Strategy, and Leadership, the aspiring leader is focused on applying innovative solutions to challenges, particularly within the African continent.
