‘STARSTRUCK’ CHARLENE RUTO MEETS BRITISH ACTOR IDRIS ELBA 

Charlene Ruto, youth advocate and daughter of Kenyan President William Ruto, had an encounter with renowned British actor and humanitarian Idris Elba at the Earthna Summit in Doha, Qatar. 

She shared her excitement on social media saying,  “I admit I was a bit starstruck today meeting the legend himself, @idriselba! His one question to me was, ‘How can we amplify the stories and voices of young people?’ My answer? Only he can tell you… It was such a pleasure!#AlwaysForTheYoungPeople.”

The Earthna Summit, a high-level gathering focused on sustainable development and environmental solutions, brought together global leaders, innovators, and influencers to discuss pressing planetary challenges. Elba, known for his iconic roles in films and TV series such as Luther and The Wire, is also a vocal advocate for social causes, including youth empowerment and environmental sustainability.
