MUSICIAN IDD AZIZ BECOMES KENYA’S GLOBAL STREAMING KING
Kenyan singer Idd Aziz is putting our country on the global music map, and his hit song Time (Mimi) with German artist Dhali is leading the charge! The track is topping Spotify’s 2025 Global Impact List, which ranks the 30 Kenyan songs with the biggest international streams this year.
But Aziz isn’t the only one making noise, his other bangers like Mentuliza with Anthony Keyrouz and Penda with JimmX are also on the list. His unique sound, blending Afrohouse, Swahili lyrics, and soulful vibes, isn’t just for Kenyan airwaves. You can hear it bumping in Berlin clubs, Bali beach parties, and even late-night radio in Lisbon!
Spotify’s list proves that Kenyan music is hotter than ever, with artists like Savara, Karun, Kato Change, Wakadinali, Nikita Kering, and Bensoul all gaining love from fans worldwide. Whether it’s Afropop, Gengetone, or Afro-fusion, Kenya’s sound is spreading fast.
Njerae’s emotional track Beg For It is the only solo female Kenyan song on the list, showing how women are stepping up in the industry. Her raw talent even earned her the title of Spotify’s EQUAL Artist for June 2025 big win!
And who could forget Bien? The former Sauti Sol star is still shining, with collabs like “All I Need” and “Safari” proving he’s still a force. Meanwhile, Savara’s Sianda is getting love in Kenyan diaspora spots across Europe another sign that our music travels far!
