NAIROBI BAPTIST CHURCH REMOVES PASTOR MUNENGI MULANDI OVER SERIOUS MISCONDUCT ALLEGATIONS

Nairobi Baptist Church has announced the removal of Senior Pastor Munengi Mulandi following serious allegations of misconduct. 

The decision was made after a thorough review by the Elders Council, which found his actions incompatible with biblical standards for pastoral ministry. In a statement released on August 3, 2025, the church confirmed that Pastor Mulandi’s ordination has been revoked, stating, “After careful review of his actions against biblical standards, they were deemed incompatible with the calling of a servant of Jesus Christ and the responsibilities of ordained pastoral ministry.”

An independent investigation has been initiated to examine the full extent and impact of the matter. The church said its commitment to truth, justice, and accountability, while prioritising the well-being of those affected.

“This is a profoundly difficult and painful season for our church community. We are resolved to handle the matter firmly, with courage, care, and accountability. Our foremost concern is the safety, dignity and well-being of the individuals directly impacted. We stand with them in the pursuit of healing and justice,” the Elders Council stated. They called for prayers as the congregation navigates this challenging time.
