CITIZEN TV’S MWANAHAMISI HAMADI HONOURED AS A SHUJAA 

Citizen TV’s Mwanahamisi Hamadi, the host of Mwanamke Bomba, has been recognised as one of the nation’s heroes, receiving a Shujaa award during the 2025 Mashujaa Day celebrations.

Hamadi was honoured among 184 distinguished individuals for her two-decade-long dedication to journalism that champions women’s rights. “It is a great honour to be nominated for the national Heroes Award. I am grateful for this recognition and to all who have contributed to this journey. This makes me to continue working wholeheartedly for the benefit of all citizens. Thank you, Kenyans,” she said.

Mwanahamisi went on to add, “A hero is someone who sees an opportunity to serve and help his community. I would like to thank all those who gave us this honor. It strengthens us to continue doing good work for the benefit of the society and the nation at large.” Hamadi stated following the honour.
