Joan Nyambura Exposes Rogue Car Dealers’ Scheme to Cripple Her Vehicle Inspection Business
Joan Nyambura, founder of the renowned vehicle inspection company Four Real KE, has come forward with shocking revelations about an elaborate plot orchestrated by rogue car dealers and brokers to destroy her business and tarnish her reputation.
In a video post, Nyambura detailed how a group she calls “quack car dealers” systematically schemed to financially cripple her company through a coordinated plan involving fake client bookings and mass refund demands.
She recalled that in December, a public dispute erupted between her and what she describes as unscrupulous car dealers. During that period, she received numerous death threats. “There were numerous threats on my life. People were saying, ‘If she’s seen on this part of town, do this and this to her,’” Nyambura said. “I decided I’ll be courageous enough, amplified my security, and stayed put.”
Her business began receiving overwhelming bookings. Clients would call requesting vehicle inspections and insist on paying the full amount upfront instead of the standard 50 percent deposit. “The client would be like, ‘No, no, no, Joan, I just want to pay you the full amount, so that I know that the only thing I’m expecting from you is the report,’” she explained.
On the scheduled inspection day, Nyambura would receive calls claiming the car had been sold. When she offered refunds, the “clients” would refuse, asking her to hold the money until they found another vehicle. By mid-January, Nyambura had over 100 clients who had paid for services but not yet received them.
At the end of January, these “clients” began demanding refunds aggressively and urgently. “It was not what I would call a courteous call. It was like, ‘Joan, I need you to process the refund. I want it by midday.’ It was more like a demand,” she said. Nyambura complied, paying out over one million Kenyan shillings in just one week across more than 100 refunds.
It was only after making these payments that Nyambura uncovered the truth. “These were not clients. This was a well-calculated scheme by the quack car dealers and brokers,” she revealed. “They came together and decided that this is a strategy to bring Fury down. They assumed I would have spent the money.“
Had she been unable to refund the money, Nyambura explained, her enemies would have taken her to the Small Claims Court. “They would take me to court, and eventually my name would be smeared. ‘The most respected car inspector has now turned into a con woman.’ Before I even had the chance to explain myself on social media, it would have already hit the headlines,” she said.
“My business is built on reputation. People know that Four Real KE and her team are people who uphold integrity, are good at what they do, are passionate, and ensure they look out for the interest of their clients.”
Nyambura concluded with a warning for fellow entrepreneurs. “Your enemies can scheme in ways that you can’t even think of or anticipate. Always be smart in your business.” Despite the setback, she confirmed that her business remains operational and that she has since strengthened her payment and verification procedures to prevent similar schemes in the future.
