Gospel Artiste Benachi Announces Father’s Burial Date

Kenyan gospel artist Benachi has confirmed that his father will be laid to rest on Saturday, October 10, 2026.

The singer, whose real name is Benson Ongachi, shared the news with his followers days after announcing his father’s passing. “Thanks to everyone who came first, the prayers… The burial is this Saturday 10th,” Benachi said.

The burial announcement follows Benachi’s disclosure of his father’s death on September 28. At the time, the musician described his father as his beloved dad and admitted he was struggling to put his grief into words. “It is with a very heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved DAD,” he wrote.

Benachi said he was thankful to God for the time they shared, the memories they built, and the life his father lived. “It’s difficult to find the words right now. I’m grateful to God for the time we had, the memories we shared, and the life he lived,” he added.

He closed his tribute with a farewell message,  “Rest peacefully, Dad. You will forever remain in our hearts. Until we meet again,” Benachi wrote. The singer did not reveal the cause of his father’s death.
