KAREN NYAMU DISCLOSES SAMIDOH WAS NOT WITH HER DURING THE BIRTH OF THEIR SON

City politician Karen Nyamu has opened up obout her second pregnancy, detailing how she discovered she was pregnant and her pregnancy journey. Speaking in a recent interview, the mother of two said she discovered she was expectant after missing her periods for two weeks.

“I found out I was expecting after missing my periods for about two weeks, I sent a rider to get me the pregnancy testing strips and tested the next day in the morning, sure enough it was a positive. I wasn’t sure how to take the news, of course it’s good news but at the moment I wasn’t sure how to take it but it started being an exciting thing,” she stated.

Nyamu added that after the first trimester she was eager to know her child’s sex, noting that at the time she wanted to have a baby boy. “After the first semester I was so eager to know if it was a boy or a girl, but at the moment I really wanted a boy because I already have a girl. So I remember being too eager to go and do a scan but on the day I went to the hospital and found out it was a boy, I was so excited,” she added.

On the delivery day, Nyamu said she was not joined by her baby daddy, Samidoh, as he had to go to work at the time she was in labor. “So, after nine hours in hospital, at around 10pm, my baby daddy had to go to work and my friend who was with me for so long also had to leave. After they both left, I was alone inside the room with nurses and my labor started. The pills worked so fast and I labored for one hour,” she said.

After some time, the labor pains became unbearable for her and she needed epidural. “The nurse gave me painkillers but it became unbearable for me that I needed epidural and so they had to call a doctor from home. By the time the doctor arrived I was put on oxygen and I started feeling the baby coming out. I was rushed to the delivery room and it was such a smooth birth and also the oxygen helped a lot. It felt so good, such a beautiful moment even if I was alone,” said Karen.

On her first pregnancy, the city lawyer disclosed that she was anxious to have her first child, adding that she would cry every time she got periods. “I remember at the time I really wanted to get pregnant, I really wanted a child. I was anxious that I used to cry when I got my periods because I really wanted a baby. One day I got the feeling that I was pregnant and it turned out to be,” she said.
