Kisii gospel singer Chris Musioma, alias Embarambamba elicited mixed reactions after a video of his ‘dirty’ dance emerged on social media.
The clip showed the energetic singer engaging a female fan in an explicit dance while performing in a what is believed to be a nightclub. The lady was down on the floor as Embarambamba passionately grind on her amid loud cheers from his fans.
The clip caught the attention of many including Kenya Films and Classification Board (KFCB) boss Ezekiel Mutua who slammed the singer terming the video gross. “Embarambamba, that’s gross. You have crossed the line!” Wrote Mutua.
Earlier this month, the Kisii singer also made headlines after nearly being knocked down by a speeding motorcycle on the bypass.
In the clip, Embarambamba was seen trying to cross a busy highway while running coming face to face with a speeding motorcycle.
The boda boda nearly hit the singer but escaped as the rider quickly swerved to the opposite direction.
This also came barely a month after Mutua expressed concerns about Embarambamba’s spine chilling stunts in his music videos, saying his fans may be cheering him to self destruction.
“Why do I feel like Embarambamba is a danger to himself and that his fans could be cheering him to self-destruction? Is this style sustainable? Is it even sane?” wrote Mutua.
