BRENDA WAIRIMU, SARAH HASSAN AND PRINCE INDAH AWARDED ORDER OF THE GRAND WARRIOR
Renowned Kenyan actress Brenda Wairimu, celebrated film and TV star Sarah Hassan, and popular musician Prince Indah have been awarded the prestigious Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) by the President during this year’s Jamhuri Day celebrations.
The honour recognises their outstanding contributions to Kenya’s arts and entertainment industry, which have elevated the country’s cultural profile both locally and internationally. Sarah Hassan, best known for her award-winning performances in film and television,took to social media and said “Truly honoured to have been awarded the title, Order Of The Grand Warrior (OGW) by His Excellency the President. Thank you to each and every one of you for always supporting me. To the producers, cast, crew, distributors, and film/TV practitioners that I’ve worked with and continue to work with, I appreciate you.”
Musician Prince Indah, a trailblazer in the Ohangla music genre, dedicated the award to his loyal fans and supporters, “I am incredibly humbled and grateful for receiving the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) from the President. This honour is not just mine — it belongs to all of you, my amazing fans, who have supported me every step of the way. Your unwavering belief in me has made all of this possible. Brenda changed her social media pages and included her new title OGW.
