Kenyan actress Nyokabi Gethaiga is set to captivate global audiences once again as she reprises her role as Ryma Sedai in the highly anticipated Season 3 of the hit Hollywood series The Wheel of Time.
The new season, which premieres on March 13, will be available for streaming on Prime Video. Gethaiga, who joined the series in Season 2, returns as a key member of the cast, starring alongside series leads Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Zoë Robins, Madeleine Madden, Josha Stradowski, Marcus Rutherford, and Dónal Finn.
Her portrayal of Ryma, a fierce and complex character from Robert Jordan’s beloved fantasy series, has already garnered praise from fans and critics alike.

Season 3 of The Wheel of Time promises to be an epic adaptation of the fourth book in the series, The Shadow Rising. Showrunner Rafe Judkins, who has been instrumental in bringing the expansive world of The Wheel of Time to life, shared his excitement about the upcoming season: “The Shadow Rising has always been my favourite book in the series, so being able to bring it to television and introduce new audiences to the stories that made me fall in love with these books in the first place is such an honour.”
Filming for Season 3 took place across three stunning locations: the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and South Africa. The majority of the production was based at Jordan Studios in the Czech Republic, where the series’ intricate sets and breathtaking visuals were brought to life.
The Kenyan actress first gained international recognition for her role as Kalasha in the critically acclaimed 2016 film Kati Kati, which was submitted for Oscar consideration and won awards at numerous film festivals. Her other notable works include Nairobi Half Life (2012), I Am Slave (2010), and Going Bongo (2015), showcasing her versatility and depth as an actress.
