KCB BANK UNVEILS REVAMPED MOBILE BANKING APP WITH ENHANCED SECURITY FEATURES

KCB Bank has introduced a fully revamped mobile banking app, that delivers a faster, more secure, and banking experience designed to meet the evolving needs of modern customers.

Customers can now enjoy instant self-onboarding, completing registration and starting their banking journey without visiting a branch. The app incorporates advanced artificial intelligence to provide personalised financial insights and recommendations tailored to each user’s behaviour and preferences. Additionally, a mini-app ecosystem seamlessly integrates third-party services, expanding the platform’s functionality beyond traditional banking.

Angela Mwirigi, KCB Bank’s Director of Digital Financial Services, said, “This new app reflects our continued commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. The launch follows impressive digital adoption metrics from the bank’s Q1 2025 results. Mobile loan disbursements grew by 28 percent to KSh116 billion, processed through over 309 million transactions. These figures demonstrate growing customer confidence in KCB’s digital platforms, with 63 percent of customers now primarily using digital channels for their banking needs.

This digital transformation aligns with KCB Group’s ‘Transforming Today Together‘ strategy for 2024-2026. The initiative focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver inclusive, market-leading financial solutions.
