INDONESIA’S NEW AMBASSADOR READY TO BOOST TIES WITH KENYA

H.E. T.B.H. Witjaksono Adji is now Indonesia’s Ambassador to Kenya after presenting his credentials to President William Ruto at State House on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025.

The Ambassador brought greetings from President Prabowo Subianto, celebrating the longstanding friendship between Indonesia and Kenya. He described Kenya as a beacon of progress, and hope for the African continent and the developing world.

Ambassador Witjaksono is stepping in at a time when bilateral relations are already soaring, thanks to the historic visit of former President Joko Widodo to Kenya in 2023.

The Ambassador will also serve as Indonesia’s Permanent Rep to UNEP and UN-Habitat both based right here in Nairobi. This means even more opportunities for Kenya and Indonesia to lead together on global sustainability, climate action, and urban development.
