‘NOT YOUR JOB’ MAMMITO SLAMS BABU OWINO’S KCSE MATHS REVISION CLASSES

A social media initiative by Embakasi East Member of Parliament, Babu Owino, to tutor Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates has sparked public debate, following comments from popular comedian Mammito.

The exchange began after the MP announced on his social media platforms that he would be conducting live mathematics revision sessions for 2025 KCSE candidates. “This Saturday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m., I will be revising Mathematics Papers 1 and 2 with the KCSE candidates 2025. Stay tuned on my Facebook page @BabuOwino,” Owino posted.

Comedian Mammito questioned the MP’s priorities. “Why not pay teachers to do that? But you need to use your data bundles!” Mammito stated. She further critiqued his record on education, noting, “He worked in this government and the previous but he didn’t do anything on education so that he can show off that he knows bodmas every end of year. All I’m saying is kufunza watoto maths is not his job description,” she said.

The comedian concluded by redirecting attention to a more pressing issues, adding, “and people are losing life because of fake liquor.“
